A new high school was constructed in 1996 to accommodate grades 9-12. The old facility was renovated into an intermediate building, housing the elementary library and grades 3-4. Students in PK-2 attend classes next door in the primary building. Colby middle school connects to the intermediate building and services students in grades 5-8.
An administrative building opened January 2004 on the K-8 campus, which houses the superintendent, curriculum, technology and business offices.
The strength of USD 315 stems from the collaborative efforts of our progressive minded staff plus a strong sense of community. Expertise is drawn from the Northwest Kansas Educational Service Center (NKESC) to help deliver extensive special education and early childhood services.
Educational Services and Staff Development Association of Central Kansas (ESSDACK) assists the district in offering a successful alternative high school to its patrons through Thomas County Learning Center.
Fiscally responsible and financially sound, USD 315 has successfully implemented many grants to enhance student learning. The district prides itself in offering a superior education at an affordable cost to the patrons of the district.
